「破铜烂铁打着玩」本是为HBO电影台拍摄的50分钟特制影片，并获得美国艾美奖四项提名，以及「最佳剪辑奖」之肯定。「破铜烂铁打着玩」的摄制已跳脱剧场表演的范畴，户内户外场景虚幻交融，运镜打光充份显露影视媒体的特色，各单元节奏之缓急起伏，交叉对剪掌握精确，让观众看得大呼过瘾！

一开场的「悬挂」单元，可能也是最惊险的演出，六位团员吊挂在俯瞰曼哈顿和威廉斯堡高速公路的STOMP广告钢架上，在各自的定点(摇摇晃晃)敲打钢架上的破铜烂铁，确实是让人耳目一新。

接下来的「扫帚」单元，是以布克林区一座废弃的货仓为现场演出的舞台，一群穿工作服的清道夫开着货车进入市集，他们手持扫帚卖力清扫，您一定没想到清扫可以如斯愉悦，劳动的拖、磨、刷、戳、顿音交织成让人振奋的旋律，并且还可以变换队形、耍许多花招！镜头随即转到四人在陋室玩纸牌，牌友的脸部表情，众人发牌抢牌，以手指叩敲桌面的急促衬出紧张感，满蓄戏剧张力…，甚至到最后牌友猛啃起苹果，纷纷盖牌了。至于在苏活区巷弄间拍打篮球，六人运球掷球的明显节拍，逐渐演变成强烈的多重节奏…，宛若排练运动主题曲。

「厨房」单元是凶恶的主厨当道，在他一声叱喝下，助手忙碌各司其职，流畅的镜头巡察剁切煎煮、洗涤、戳冰块等混杂交响曲，从水槽的杯盘狼藉，到厨房地板上的污水流至排水孔，一直连接到下水道，也是最超写实的「水音符」单元。一群大汉下半身浸在诡异的绿色水光里，戴着蛙镜四处审视敲打裸露的水管，据称录音师还特地把麦克风放进保险套里，浸入水中，捕捉水底的传声效果。下水道里突如其来的倾盆大雨，延伸至舞台上也下起雨来，在「茶巾」单元，团员用湿透的毛巾弹打铁桶、塑料桶，相当具有禅味的后现代鼓道；接着的「圆桶」单元，身手矫健的团员干脆拿起垃圾桶盖或铁桶敲撞互击，融合了武行对打的技巧，金铁交鸣、力与美齐迸发，淋漓尽致；

「竹棍」单元里，团员排列整齐以细长的竹棍敲戳地板，更显见非洲鼓乐的影响。
